6/10/2007 Kanji Kentei Results Available Online!

Anybody who sat the Kanji Kentei on June 10th can view their results online here.

Click on 公開会場(個人受験者)用, then enter the necessary information on the next screen. You can only find out whether you passed or failed, and certificates will not be mailed out until July.

The results went online at 10:00am on June 28th.

I passed 3級, so I am in quite good spirits today.
(Here is an example of a 3級 test.)

If anybody else out there took the test on the 10th, let us know how you did!

How many times a year is the Kanken offered, and is there a cost to take it? I'm curious as to when it's offered next.

forestsprite,

The Kanken is typically offered three times a year. There are also automated tests that can be taken year-round, though I don't know too much about these yet (but you can check out some info here).

The next standard test will be held on October 28th. The deadline for applications is September 26th. You can find more information here.

As for the price of taking the test:
1級 5,000yen
準1級 4,500yen
2級 4,000yen
準2、3級~7級 2,000yen
8~10級 1,500yen

It gets pretty pricey up at the higher levels, but it's overall a pretty fair price.

I passed 2級 on the 10th. I didn't think I'd make it, but I guess I squeaked by. Do you know if the officially mailed results include a score of some sort?

amake,

Congrats on 2kyu!!!!
Wow. *_*
What's your secret?

As far as I know, the results will include a score and maybe even your answer sheet. I hope so, because being able to look over my responses and seeing exactly which ones were wrong will be a great study aide.

We'll see in another week or two, I guess!

I got my scores in the mail today for the kanji kentei. I did a lot better than I expected. 準2級 shouldn't be too much trouble in October

It didn't come with my answer sheet, though, so no comparing of answers. Ah, well.
